Christophe Roure, "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" (Best Craftsman of France) in 2007

Portrait of Christophe Roure,
a chef in search of perfection

With three vocational training certificates to his credit (cookery, cold cuts and confectionery), Christophe Roure has always shown a pronounced taste for the quest to achieve technical perfection. Demonstrating nothing but passion and dedication in all that he undertakes, Christophe Roure learnt his craft in various prestigious venues. For instance, he has used his talents at La Poularde in Montrond-les-Bains, performed a stint in the kitchens of Paul Bocuse, worked alongside Pierre Gagnaire and joined Régis Marcon's teams… In some of these iconic restaurants, he even played his part in obtaining precious Michelin® stars.

The passion of gastronomy

As a true fine dining enthusiast, Christophe Roure naturally opened his own restaurant with a helping hand from his wife Nati. Their first restaurant in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert in the Loire region lost no time in achieving its first Michelin star, followed by a second star in 2008.

Thriving on challenges, the chef achieved the supreme accolade of "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" in 2007. Keen to embark on a new adventure in 2014, he opened his restaurant Le Neuvième Art in Lyon, France's fine dining capital, and received his second star in 2015.
