Culinary spirit
Chef Christophe Roure and his wife Nati invite you to sample their refined and seasonal cuisine packed full of sublime flavours and produce.
Christophe Roure, winner of the coveted "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" (Best Craftsman of France) accolade in 2007, steers a skilful course between the classics and modern dishes in pursuit of his vision of fine dining. The chef initially develops his dishes from a technical perspective, leveraging the expertise that he has acquired from some of the biggest names who have left an indelible mark on the history of French gastronomy, such as Paul Bocuse and Pierre Gagnaire.
Drawing on this traditional legacy, he adds his own identity and controlled inventive streak, an example being a dish of foie gras transformed into a stunning strawberry gateau. Rigour, taste and the art of presentation, all of which without the slightest hint of pretentiousness, harmoniously infuse every culinary creation, eliciting emotion and surprise with each encounter.
An extensive wine list is also available and has been designed as the ideal accompaniment to the restaurant's cuisine. Feel free to ask us for advice when choosing the perfect wine for your meal.
Chef Christophe Roure
In 2003, Christophe Roure became chef of his own restaurant in the Loire region and won his own star only 10 or so months after opening the restaurant with his wife. In 2007, he achieved the supreme accolade of "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" (Best Craftsman of France). The following year, a second Michelin® star crowned his career.
Drawing strength from his experience-rich background, Christophe Roure decided to embark upon a new adventure - this time in Lyon. He and his wife purchased a restaurant in the 6th arrondissement, near the old Brotteaux train station. Since June 2014, France's fine dining capital has been strengthened with a new restaurant that has already become a culinary hotspot: Le Neuvième Art.
